Amazon Prime Video Is Finally On Apple TV

Finally, after years of promises, Amazon and Apple delivered. You can now download the tvOS version of Amazon Prime Video from App Store #softwaremagic

It’s not a drill, people. Amazon finally released Prime Video for Apple TV. All you have to do to start enjoying that content at home is head over to the App Store and log in using your Amazon credentials. If you don’t see it at first, don’t panic; search for “Amazon” in the App Store, then select the Amazon Shopping app, and check the “More by this Developer” section at the bottom of the page. It should feature there. Don’t forget: if you want to use the Prime Video app, you’ll have to make use of a third-generation Apple TV or newer device.

This news almost seems like a prank now, after years of seeing it work on other Apple devices, such as iPhones and iPads, but not on the one with the biggest display from the lot.

But it’s not, guys. Amazon has admitted that it needs powerful partners like Apple to make its streaming video service thrive. On the other hand, while they’re too proud to admit it, Apple is in dire need of fresh, entertaining content. Their original shows, like Carpool Karaoke and the hyped-up Planet of the Apps  are no match to shows made by Netflix like Stranger Things. 

By releasing Prime Video for tvOS, Apple can buy some time until their own content gains attention and popularity. That might
