As more and more developers come with crazy, successful apps every single day, it’s obvious there is huge untapped potential out there. Apple is very aware of this and that is why the company wants to give a chance to inspired developers to get the funding and the support they need to make their ideas reality. How? In a reality TV show called Planet of the Apps #mobilemagic
Who are they looking for and how can you enter the competition: you need to send info about the future app you’re working on, as well as a one-minute video that describes you and your team. All contestants need to have a functioning app in beta by October 21st since filming should begin later this year in LA.
The show will probably be transmitted on Apple’s platforms but there’s no word on whether TV networks or streaming services like Netflix will feature it, too.
What’s in it for the winner of the competition: mentorship from “some of the world’s best experts in tech and entertainment,”, according to the site, funding from “top-tier VCs investing up to $10 million” and publicity as the app will be featured in the App Store.
If that sounds good, hurry up to apply. The last day is August 26th.
