Adam Jensen’s bionic arm will become a reality #todaymagic

Open Bionics, Eidos-Montréal and Razer are partnering up to bring to reality the prosthetic arm seen in gaming series Deus Ex, about and with augmented humans. Remember the last trailer of “Mankind Divided”, right?

Of course, the arm will lack the arms and accessories Jensen has, but it will play homage to the game and… it’s gonna be a beautiful, futuristic-looking limb, as can be seen in the explanatory video above.

So far, manufacturers have a “semi-functional prototype” going on, still needing to tweak and perfect its functionality to be 100% useful. Designs will be made open source so that anyone can 3D print an exact replica at home. The idea is to get people a beautiful arm, something they’re proud of, not ashamed. Since true gamers will immediately recognize the Jensen inspiration, you can bet users will be filled with attention and compliments.
