GPS technology company Garmin has launched the tactix Charlie smartwatch, the third entry in the Garmin tactix line. Rugged and powerful, this smartwatch is designed to keep you safe and keep track of you during your fitness and outdoor activities. Able to track your heart rate during 26 built-in activities and offering a metric for anaerobic training effects, the newest addition to the tactix line looks to be a must have for both extreme expeditions and daily activities alike.
Featuring full-color topographic mapping, a gyroscope, a barometric altimeter, and a 3-axis compass, the tactix Charlie can support your adventures from the highest mountain to about 100meters underwater. With up to 16 GB of storage, it can store an incredible about of map data, including marine charts. Its extremely impressive battery means you can also travel all day without worrying about a recharge; a single charge will last 12 days in smartwatch mode, 35 hours in battery saver mode, and 20 hours in GPS mode.
Not only battery longevity, but durability is also a main feature of the latest Garmin wearable. It has a carbon coated titanium bezel, a titanium rear cover, stainless steel buttons, and a scratch-resistant domed sapphire lens. This lens protects a 1.2 inch display that can be read in the sunlight and switch between daytime use and night vision goggle compatibility.
