HMD Global is sparing no efforts when it comes to its Nokia flagship line. Since last year, the manufacturer has been pushing the brand name forward, releasing devices for nostalgics (Nokia 3310, Nokia Banana) or flagships that can go head to head with the best of them. Now, the soon-to-be-released Nokia 9 is rumored to come with a camera that will put other Android phones to shame. #mobilemagic
There hasn’t been much information about the Nokia 9 until now, when the entire spec sheet leaked online and the guys from SuomiMobiili grabbed it without hesitation. According to the data there, it’s clear that this phone is meant to be the golden boy of HMD – at least this year.
Nokia 9 is expected to come with the best in processing power, RAM and display, but especially in photography. The device will rival Huawei P20 Pro as it’s said to come with a triple main camera, from ZEISS. The camera module will have a whooping 41MP sensor, coupled with a 20MP and a 9.7MP one. Users will enjoy 4x optical zoom and a 21MP front shooter that capable of taking bothies as well.
From the leaked image above, you can see Nokia positioning the triple camera on the back vertically, in the center. We’re excited to see exactly how will Nokia take advantage of the photography combo and how it will improve the UX.
Other important features you need to take into account:
- 6.01-inch AMOLED screen (18:9 aspect ratio)
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor
- 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage (or 6GB RAM with 128GB of storage according to other reports)
- 3,900 mAh battery
- dual SIM
- wireless charging
- frontal fingerprint sensor
- USB-C connectivity
There’s no definite release date in sight, but if HMD follows past years’ trend, they could launch it at IFA Berlin, in September.
