Nokia 9 Camera Will Be Off The Charts

Finnish smartphone firm HMD Global is sparing no efforts when it comes to its Nokia flagship line. Since last year, the manufacturer has been pushing the brand name forward, releasing devices for nostalgics like Nokia 3310 and Nokia Banana. Now, the soon-to-be-released Nokia 9 is rumored to come with a camera that will put other Android phones to shame. #mobilemagic

Most of the information comes from the spec sheet leaked online by SuomiMobiili. The sheet itself seems to encompass all of the key specifications and makes it clear that the Nokia 9 is meant to be HMD’s star smartphone in 2018.

Nokia 9 is expected to come with the best in processing power, RAM, and display. However, it’s the camera that really stands out.  The device will rival Huawei P20 Pro as the Nokia 9 is said to come with a triple main camera from optical systems manufacturer ZEISS. The camera module will have a whooping 41MP sensor, coupled with a 20MP and a 9.7MP one. Users will enjoy 4x optical zoom and a 21MP front facing camera.

From the leaked image above, you can see the triple cameras on the back are set up vertically and in the center. It is exciting to see how Nokia will take advantage of the high-powered photography capabilities and how that will improve user experience.

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor
  • 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage (or 6GB RAM with 128GB of storage according to other reports)

  • USB-C connectivity

There is no definite release date. However, HMD has launched their smartphones at IFA Berlin in the past couple years, so if the trend continues, we could be looking at a Nokia 9 announcement or release this September!
