We still have a few months to go until the reveal of OnePlus 5, but if you’re eager to see what the company might come with, this prototype pic will help. Things can still change in matters of design but the dual camera layout is sure to stay like this #mobilemagic
The phone set to come with Snapdragon 835 processor and four cameras can be seen in a prototype picture received by Android Authority.
As you can see the antenna lines are still there, visible as always, but there’s no fingerprint scanner to talk about. That means it has remained on the front of the phone, either hidden under the home button or integrated in the display (wouldn’t that be cool?!). The chassis is pretty much the same as the one employed on OnePlus 3T, with the exception of the dual vertical camera module. With this aboard, the phone looks even better than before.
But is that enough to justify a much bigger price? According to Android Authority, OnePlus will launch this phone at around $600, if not more. That rumor goes against OnePlus’ market strategy: great quality at a low price. On the other hand, the company might want to release a device that costs just enough to allow them to play in the big league. Plus, you have to consider the premium components OnePlus intends to use for this handset.
OnePlus 5 is expected to come with a ceramic and metal body, QHD display, the latest processor from Snapdragon and a whooping amount of RAM (some rumors say it will offer 8GB!)
Even so, are you willing to buy a OnePlus phone that costs more than the LG G6?
