Just as the trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi popped up, Samsung announced a new, limited edition vacuum cleaner created in collaboration with the series’ fans.  Now, you can pre-order a  POWERbot™ robot vacuum cleaner that has not only the appearance of Darth Vader or a Stormtrooper, but also the personality #objectmagic

Samsung’ popular POWERbot™ vacuum cleaners have been re-imagined with the occasion of the upcoming film from the Disney and Lucas Films saga, Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The home appliance is being released in two “flavors”, black and white, in a design that resembles the helmet of Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper suit.

“We are very pleased to be part of the excitement leading up to the release of the Last Jedi and to be launching our limited edition POWERbot™ in partnership with Star Wars fans,” said B.S. Suh, Executive Vice President of the Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics. “From its industry-leading suction power, slim design, and smart features, to the wonderful character-themed voice feedback and sound effects, we are confident the Star Wars limited edition of the VR7000 will be a big hit.”

Indeed, the company consulted the fans before releasing the vacuum cleaner models. Besides the look, each of them shares effects particular to the characters. When you power up the black one, you’ll hear the distinctive, ominous breathing of Vader, while the white version will make sounds associated with a stormtrooper.

The rest of the functions are identical to the ones coming with the VR7000 vacuum cleaner: a 10 watt power capacity, CycloneForce tech and Edge Clean Master. You can use it to clean around home decorations thanks to the FullView Sensor™ 2.0, while leaving it alone to do all the work thanks to  Visionary Mapping™ Plus tech. Moreover, the Darth Vader version has Wi-Fi connectivity and a remote control.

Pre-orders are open on the official Samsung website.
