The latest update of Google app for iOS brings about speed and performance improvements that will save users “a combined 6.5 million hours” in 2016, says the company in a blog post.  News articles will load instantly, since Google created Accelerated Mobile Pages, an open-source project that meant partnering up with publishers to display their content without delay. Yes, it’s similar to Facebook’s Instant Articles.

You will recognize the AMP articles by a lightning bolt icon that accompanies them and the fact that they will appear in the top stories section of search results.
