The First Phone That Supports DAB+ Radio, Available In Europe And Australia

LG Stylus2

As podcasts gain more followers by the day, radio streaming becomes a battery and data-consuming hobby on smartphones. More and more users return to radio for quality talks, only to become frustrated with poor signal or sudden shutdowns of their devices due to low-battery. That’s why LG provided DAB+ radio on its Stylus 2.

For those who don’t know, DAB+ technology allows you to listen to digital radio channels without consumming Internet data. While Americans have switched to HD Radio, Australians and Europeans still use this form of audio listening. On those markets, the Stylus 2 will debut with an embedded DAB+ chipset and app. The app comes with station recommendations and a user-friendly search engine.

Other than that, you can expect the same specs announced last month for the device. You have a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera.
