The Apple of China is doing wonders in India. Xiaomi broke its own sales record after selling one million devices in a couple of days, with a total of 10 million smartphones sold in September #mobilemagic
Xiaomi has begun fall with a spring in their step. The company has reported shipping more than 10 million devices in September, a record for the manufacturer. This was largely due to popular demand in India, where it sold one million devices in just two days during the Diwali festival.
In fact, India is proving to be a major market for Xiaomi, after China. The phone manufacturer is the second largest player in the country with a market share of 18%. Of course, Samsung is still dominating the field, with 25%.
The key to Xiaomi’s success there is their usual recipe for selling devices – good price-quality ratio. They’re not only impressing tech addicts with bezel-less flagships like Mi Mix 2, but they’re also bringing affordable, great devices to those who just want a dependable phone. Mi A1, or Android One, is one of their hit successes, sold in minutes after its first sale in India.
If they don’t run out of luck, Xiaomi could become the number one smartphone seller there.
