Everyone was expecting to see the Axon 9, but ZTE decided to surprise its consumers and take it up a notch with their latest phone reveal. Or two, because the new ZTE Iceberg has not one, but two front notches.
We’ve seen plenty of such screens since the iPhone X debuted but none of them featured two notches, so you’re looking at a world premiere here!
The top one makes room for the front camera and distance and brightness sensors, while the lower one houses a secondary loudspeaker.
On the back there’s a fingerprint reader and a dual camera configuration, but actual specs are a mystery still. The star of the show, though, is definitely the chassis.
The ZTE Iceberg is cool as ice with its single glass unibody, sporting nothing but transparent glass corners.
“The ZTE Iceberg uses a seamless glass connection technique to combine two pieces of glass as one unibody, which makes the phone resemble a fragment of ice. The four corners of the phone are transparent to reveal the essential beauty of the glass material. The effect is beautiful and mysterious,” says ZTE.
Before you get too hot, there’s something else you should know!
ZTE has stated that the Iceberg will come in 2019, the phone requiring 13-24 months of development.
