It’s Confirmed! Google Pixel 4a Is Coming On August 3rd

Google’s long-awaited mid-range smartphone – the Pixel 4a will be released on August 3rd, the company announced. After a bumpy ride in 2020, when uncertainty surrounded the release of the new device, it now looks like the Pixel 4a is just around the corner.

Google posted a cryptic message on its online store, where you have to fill some boxes to match the companies logo: blue, red, yellow, blue, green, and red. This will reveal the message ”the Google just what you’ve been waiting for phone.”

In the ”lorem ipsum” text block you can also find some hints like “lowlightena”, “bokehus”, and “megapixelum”, pointing out the message references the launch of the Pixel 4a. The new mid-ranger’s price is rumored to be $349, which is a bit cheaper than Apple’s iPhone SE.

What we know so far about the Google Pixel 4a is that it will have a 5.8-inch OLED screen with a cutout for the 8-megapixel front-facing camera, a 12.2-megapixel rear-facing camera with both Optical Image Stabilization and Electronic Image Stabilization. The new affordable device will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 with 6GB of RAM.
