Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 3rd Gen Headphones Play & Pause with Proximity Sensors

As an IFA attendee, Sennheiser couldn’t miss the opportunity to showcase a new Momentum wireless headset – and it’s spectacular.

The Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 3rd generation keep the iconic design of previous models, including smooth leather on the cups and headband, but really step it up in terms of convenience.

Using proximity sensors, the new Sennheiser Momentum headphones sense when you put them on or take them off and start or stop the music accordingly.

They also bring Auto On/Off, so, as soon as you unfold them, they’ll start and pair up to your smartphone using the new Bluetooth 5.0.

They also feature smart Tile tech with an integrated Bluetooth tracker to find them if you happen to misplace them around the house.

They’re fitted with a three-button interface for control of audio and calls and a dedicated button for voice assistants like Siri and Google Assistant, with Alexa soon to join via a firmware update.

“This flawless audio performance is ensured by Bluetooth 5 compatibility and support for codecs including aptXTM, AAC, and SBC, as well as aptXTM Low Latency for perfectly synchronising audio with onscreen visuals. Whether listeners are enjoying music, movies or podcasts or simply want to fine-tune the audio experience to their taste, it is possible to tailor the audio experience with the built-in equalizer via Sennheiser’s Smart Control app,” says Sennheiser.

Of course, there’s also Sennheiser’s signature active noise cancellation with three different modes to cut out ambient noise.

For those who still want to remain connected to their environment, there’s also Transparent Hearing Mode.

Sennheiser already sells the new Momentum Wireless in black for 399 EUR but, if the sandy white model is more to your liking, you’ll have to wait for it until November.

But what about the audio quality? Also, how to they compare to the Sony and Bose ANC headphones?
