Twitter Now Allows You To Add Guests To Your Live Stream

Twitter has added a new feature to its live-streaming app Periscope that allows you to invite guests to a live stream.

You can invite up to three guests to your stream or they can request to join in on the conversation and come and go at any time. You can add them by simply clicking the icon that displays two smiley faces.

While the guests can leave by their own accord at any given time, the main streamer can choose to remove them as well.

The only downside is that Twitter is still working on a way to allow everyone to share video, not just the main streamer, so the only option available at the moment is to join via microphone.

Both Facebook and YouTube allow users to share live videos so Twitter was bound to try and bring the same feature to its users sooner or later.

The company purchased Periscope back in 2015 for an undisclosed amount of money at the time. At a later date, a regulatory filing revealed that Twitter paid no less than $86 million for both Periscope and social media startup Niche.

The importance of audio experience for people to discuss the topics they care about, because when you can chat together directly, it is more fun!
