You can Now Send Files Up to 2.5 GB Through Firefox Send

Firefox Send is one of the most anticipated Firefox features in recent memory, having undergone a lengthy testing period.

Now, Firefox Send is publicly launched, allowing you to send, for free, files of up to 2.5 GB via a link.

You might be wondering makes it different from other services. First off, the link itself can be set to expire after a time or after certain conditions are met (a set number of downloads) and can be password protected.

Because it’s developed by Mozilla, security and privacy were part of the design process, so Firefox Send is heavily protected, featuring end-to-end encryption.

To use Firefox Send, just go to send.firefox.com, regardless of the browser you’re using.

Mozilla also plans to launch an Android app this week, so it’s good to go on mobile as well.

Just as a note, you can only send up to 1 GB of files if you don’t have a Firefox account. Logged in, you can benefit from that 2.5 GB offer.
