Nokia is ready to prove that they’ve still got what it takes to play with the big guys. Next year, the Nokia brand will once more be seen on smartphones everywhere, but HMD will actually produce them. Leaked specs and images have already surfaced #mobilemagic
Rumors about Nokia’s return have been circulating since May. Recently, the brand confirmed the rumor and now leaked product images have emerged. The first phone to debut is going to be D1C, in two versions. The first model will sport a 5-inch display with 1080p touchscreen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chip with a 1.4 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 505 GPU. You’re going to count on 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage. This model will feature a 13 MP main camera and 8 MP selfie shooter.
The second model is a “Plus” in several instances. Expect a 5.5-inch display, a 16MP rear camera and 3GB of RAM instead of two. The phones could look very similar to these initial renders, says GSM Arena:
There’s no potential release date in sight, but they could take advantage of the Mobile World Congress next year to introduce the phone.
