Vivo, one of the top 3 smartphone brands in China, has launched the V5 in India. By far, its most appealing feature is the 20MP selfie camera that caters to millenials more than anyone else. A V5 Plus is set to follow, by the end of the year #mobilemagic
Vivo V5 comes with a Sony IMX 376 (1/2.78-inch, f/2.0) sensor and a front flash that helps achieve more clear selfies in low light conditions. This one should disperse a bright but soft light to highlight the face without emphasizing imperfections.
As for the rest of the specs, expect a Vivo V5 with dual-SIM support, a 1.5GHz octa core MediaTek MT6750 processor, 4GB of RAM and 3,000 mAh battery. Internal storage can be extended from 32GB to 128GB. The 5.5-inch smartphone runs Android 6.0 and the company’s FunTouch OS that enables split window multitasking among other features.
The Vivo V5 Plus is set to come later this year with dual front camera.
