Square Enix’s E3 Presentation was 22 years in the making. With the in-depth look at Final Fantasy VII Remake, Square has finally made good on a promise to bring back one of the most beloved series entries.
However, it wasn’t just Final Fantasy VII Remake that caused fan commotion. Square overall solid presentation introduced new entries for several fan favorite series while also remastering a game thought lost. Additionally, they announced Square Enix Music will be available on many streaming services. Here’s what was mentioned in Square’s E3:
Final Fantasy VII Remake
Releasing March 3rd, 2020, Final Fantasy VII Remake looks to be an enhanced, but still faithful, edition of the original game. Read more about the changes and gameplay here:
Life is Strange 2
Much like the original, Life is Strange 2 looks to take a deep emotional dive into interpersonal relationships as the protagonist, Daniel, uses his powers of psychokinesis to affect the world around him.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition
This winter, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition will be available of PS4, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices and will feature online play with friends.
Octopath Traveler
Originally a Switch exclusive, the highly beloved game is available now on PC.
The Last Remnant: Remastered
The Last Remnant: Remastered will be available tonight on Nintendo Switch for those ready to take on the challenges of this RPG world.
Dragon Quest Builders 2
In a timeline where builders are being captured, you find a way to escape the clutches of evil. You are your friends must build your way to victory through a vast and expanded landscape. A playable demo will be available June 27th.
Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Exclusive Age Definitive Edition
Considered one of the best Dragon Quest games, Dragon Quest XI S will be coming to the Switch this fall.
Circuit Superstars
A top-down racer, Circuit Superstars will be published as part of the Square Enix Collective.
Battalion 1944 Eastern Front
A shooter set in WWII, Battalion 1944 Eastern Front will be published as part of the Square Enix Collective.
Kingdom Hearts III ReMind
A new DLC for Kingdom Hearts III, ReMind will release in winter.
Final Fantasy XIV Online
Its third expansion pack, Shadowbringers, will bring 2 new jobs – Gunbreaker and Dancer – and 2 new races to Final Fantasy XIV Online on July 2nd.
Dying Light 2
Coming out in Spring 2020, Dying Light 2 looks to be a survival game with first person parkour action.
Romancing SaGa 3
A Japanese RPG classic, Romancing SaGa 3 will be available to Western audiences.
SaGa SCARLET GRACE
Like Romancing SaGa 3, SaGa SCARLET GRACE will be available to Western audiences soon.
War of the Visions Final Fantasy Brave Exvius
This new title will be paired with the original Final Fantasy Brave Exvius and is now in development.
Outriders
Releasing in the Summer 2020, create and play in this action shooter as an Outrider to find the source of a strange environmental phenomenon.
Oninaki
Play as Kagachi, a Watcher who can control different Daemons, as you travel across both the Living and Dead worlds. Oninaki will release August 22nd, 2019.
Final Fantasy VIII Remastered
Source code to the game lost, fans were skeptical that Final Fantasy VIII would ever return. To everyone’s surprise, Square announced Final Fantasy VIII Remastered with a release date of 2019.
Marvel’s Avengers: A-Day
In an original Avengers story, the team of Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Iron Man find themselves distrusted by the population after they failed to save San Francisco from an attack. 5 years later, with the city under fire, the Avengers find themselves having to come out from hiding to save the city.
You will be able to team up with 4 other people online to help the Avengers find redemption. Additional content will also be available throughout the years of support and there will be no additional costs for heros and regions. There will also be no pay to win mechanics.
While the game releases May 15th, 2020, Playstation gamers will be able to get early access and unique benefits.
