Huawei P9 stole everyone’s hearts with their camera capabilities (which Leica contributed to greatly). So, why shouldn’t Sony do the same and use their experience to launch a camera with a phone, not the other way around? Easy said, easy done. At IFA 2016, the company unveiled the Sony Xperia XZ with 5-axis image stabilization #mobilemagic
Sony’s latest flagship is more remarkable on the interior, than the exterior. The metal body encapsulates triple imaging sensors and five axis image stabilization which means you’ll capture fast-moving objects pretty steadily, no blur in sight. The rear cam has the same 23MP image sensor Xperia Z featured, but this time it comes with an RGBC-IR sensor and laser autofocus for great white balance and image enhancement. Photographers will still be able to tweak the settings however they choose, by employing manual mode.
On the other hand, the selfie cam got a new 13MP image sensor with an expendable ISO range up to 6400! Your Instagram profile will thank you and Sony for it.
The hardware is still top-notch with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB that you can extend. With an IP68 rating, Sony Xperia XZ should have no problems when it rains on the 5.2-inch Full HD display or if you drop it in the bathtub.
The smartphone will be available from the end of October in US (no fingerprint reader, though; sorry, guys).
