One of the best inventions from Japan is coming to USA and Europe. Blincam, a tiny camera that captures photos every time you blink, has finished a successful crowdfunding campaign in Japan and is now heading to the rest of the world with an Indiegogo one #fotomagic
If you haven’t heard about it until now, then imagine a small camera that attaches to any one of your glasses and sunnies easily. Then, it snaps photos every time your blink lingers, thanks to an embedded sensor. The photos are sent to your phone via Bluetooth and you can share them with friends and family.
It’s a device that could help you take pictures undetected but more importantly, capture brief moments that would pass until you grabbed your phone. That said, there’s also a third reason to buy it: “[…] you should see [moments like the first time your kid stands up] with your own eyes, not the screen of a smartphone. Capturing a moment should never get in the way of living it” believes Blincam inventor and CEO Shota Takase.
The camera has an eight-hour battery life, is easy to hook and unhook in places where you’re not allowed to bring a cam.
So how much does Blincam cost? The launch price is $199 but early backers will be able to buy it at a lower price on Indiegogo, once the campaign finishes. With a bit of luck, you’ll be able to test it in April 2017.
