Not everything is peachy in Apple’s garden. In fact, several users are complaining that the company knowingly sold flawed iPhone 6 and 6 Plus devices and have filed a lawsuit.
The named plaintiffs are three in number and claim that the “Touch Disease” is a “condition” where the iPhone’s screen becomes unresponsive and a grey bar appears at the top of the display. It will disappears if you shake the device enough but that’s not a solution. The phone will march slowly to its death at this pace, they say.
The culprit seems to be one that Apple was aware of – the bendable body. Because the smartphones slightly bends, a critical chip can be moved from its place on the logic board. That spoils the visual experience for the user yet the company didn’t do anything to fix the situation, instead keeping it under wraps from the whole world.
We’ll have to wait and see if more users will come out and join the complaint filed in California’s Northern District federal court.
