This Car Doubles As A Helicopter As It Flies Off The Ground

Planning on aerial shots from above the Grand Canyon? No need to stay on the ground while the drone does all the work or worse, start saving money for a helicopter trip. Skyrunner is a car that can brave all type of terrain as well as fly away #automagic

In 2013, Skyrunner debuted as a flying ATV under the Parajet umbrella. People got excited quickly but as fast as the news spread, it also succumbed. Now, Parajet is off the project and Sky Runner has been redesigned. The former one-seat buggy has morphed into a two seat deal, with two separate engines. One handles the vehicles on the ground, while the other helps you stay in the air. You can cross any sort of land terrain, including desert dunes. As for flying, you don’t need a runway to begin with. Just gather momentum with one engine, attach the parawing and get ready for flight.

In minutes, the other engine will kick off and propel you enough to be above the ground. Skyrunner allows you to reach a speed of 52mph in the air, at a maximum height of 10.000 feet. If the engine were to fail, the parachute can help you navigate safely back on land. On the other hand, if you get stuck on dry land, the propeller will help you accelerate and get a jump start.

Skyrunner is already an option for military missions but it can also be an entertainment vehicle on occasion. The flying car costs $119.000.
