Fujifilm has announced a new wide-format mobile printer for its Polaroid like-film – the INSTAX Link Wide™ Smartphone Printer.
Designed to connect to smartphones through Bluetooth, the Instax Link Wide Smartphone Printer could serve as a competitor to the existing Instax Mini Link offering Polaroid-style photographs straight from the users’ camera roll.
The photos are much bigger than the Instax Mini ones – about the size of two credit cards side by side – and the printer is also compatible with Fujifilm’s X-S10 mirrorless camera, enabling users to transfer and print photographs directly from it.
Available in two printing modes, Rich and Natural, the printer will let users choose between “bright and immersive or saturated and classic” color schemes.
The printer should be able to take about 100 Instax prints on a battery charge, and users will be able to edit captures in the app and even adding text.
The Instax Link Wide Smartphone Printer will arrive later this month for the price of $149.95, while there will also be a new black-bordered variant of Instax Wide film, costing $21.99 per pack of 10.
