We have fast cars, fast motorcycles, fast everything that goes up in the air or on the concrete but what about across the seas?
Italian company Jet Capsule aims to deliver to the waves the same power we bring onto the streets with The Royal Version 001, a mini capsule yacht that measures 27ft (8m) long and 12ft (3.6m) wide and can fit around 12 passengers inside.
The yacht also comes in an armored version that features a rooftop bunker and bulletproof glass but every customer can make their own as they see fit.
It can also run on a Yanmar diesel engine that goes from 370hp all the way up to 1040hp. Alongside Hamilton jet drives, it can reach speeds of up to 70mph.
Co-founder Pierpaolo Lazzarini was inspired by spaceships when he created the design for the capsule yacht, adding photocromic windows that can change their transparency according to how intense the sunlight is.
You can bet it comes with all the comfort imaginable: it features a bathroom and a small corner bar that can be used as a dinner table.
For those really hot summer days, it even has an air conditioning system pre-installed and, if you’re traveling in colder climates, the pod will make sure you’re warm and snug.
Every one of these capsule yachts is made-to-order in Naples. They take around six months to build and will make your wallet $250,000 lighter.
