If you were up and running (online, of course) this past Wednesday, you might have seen Kodak’s (un)intentional product slip on Twitter. The photo camera giant let a teaser of their new phone get on the web, before sending it into oblivion. Thankfully, a few were on their tails catching the “big” reveal #mobilemagic
TechCrunch spotted the poster announcing a new phone coming this month, on the 20th. The picture only shows us a button of the phone, embedded in a bezel and stylishly marked Kodak K. Rectification: it shows a lot more as in the date of the reveal.
Now, the fact that Kodak deleted the tweet in a hurry could mean one of two things:
- they were ahead of schedule with the announcement and were planning to send it much later or
- the date has changed in the meantime and October 20th will no longer feature the launch
Let’s hope it’s not the latter and wait for a Halloween surprise!
