PlayStation’s rumored Xbox Game Pass-like game streaming service, codenamed Spartacus, is apparently just around the corner!

According to a report by VGC, game news journalist Jeff Grubb claims to see this game streaming service as hitting key internal milestones by the end of this month. While this does not mean a public launch for the service, it does seem to point to the service launching sometime in the near future.

Additionally, Grubb seemed to confirm earlier reports that the service might be split into three separate tiers. The most premium of the tiers, priced at $16 a month, is rumored to include “full game trials” and game streaming. Perhaps most enticingly, this tier may also come with a huge back catalogue of classic games to play otherwise unplayable on the PlayStation 5.

The middle tier seems to be similar to PlayStation Now where games can be downloadable to play from the entire PlayStation Now catalogue. The lowest tier is likely what PlayStation Plus is currently, with online and free games released monthly for subscribers.

While the launch of this service may be a little ways away, it will be interesting to see if all these rumored features come to pass!
