The more we go small, the harder it is to preserve efficiency and save power. Wearable owners know that best. Smartwatches have limited lifespan and aren’t at all as powerful as smartphones. But all is about to change with Samsung’s new announcement. The company may have failed some of you with their explosive mobiles but they’re ready to launch the first ever processor built for wearables… with a bang! #objectmagic
Exynos 7 Dual 7270 is the name of the brain embedded in future premium wearable. It’s based on the tech previously used on Exynos 7570 (14-nanometer FinFET process) and comes with LTE modem and full connectivity capabilities. Powered by a pair of Cortex-A53 cores, Exynos 7 Dual 7270 processor supports WiFi and Bluetooth, as well as FM radio.
Don’t worry, it’s more than fit for location-based services with GNSS (global navigation satellite system) solutions. The processor will make wearables more powerful than ever while keeping gadgets flexible and saving power. Your fitness trackers and smartwatches will be 20% more efficient during usual usage, so you’ll notice how your battery drains much more slowly.
What can we say – apparently Samsung takes with one hand and gives with the other.
