In October, a Samsung official confirmed the CPU solution, and recently the company came up with a teaser of the Shanghai launch, scheduled on 12 November.

According to Ice Universe, Exynos 1080 will be released during the official event on 12 November, being the first time that Samsung is holding a conference specifically to announce a processor.

Apparently, the processor will initially be available for Vivo X60 and will most likely surpass the Exynos 980, integrating ARM’s Cortex-A78 CPU as its primary core and the Mali G78 GPU, which are significant improvements.

Created for budget smartphones, the Exynos 850 integrates a 2GHz octa-core processor (ARM Cortex-55 core), a Mali-G52 GPU (graphics processing unit), and support for LPDD4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. Although it has no 5G support, the Exynos 850 integrates Cat.7 LTE connectivity, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio, and GNSS such as GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo.

The 5nm Samsung Exynos 1080 is targeted for the Chinese market which is why it will be revealed in Shanghai, China.
