Toyota has been somewhat late to the electric cars game but this year they’re finally releasing an EV.
The first Toyota EV, the bZ4X, will start at $42,000 for the base model and offer 252 miles of range per charge.
The bZ4X is similarly sized as the popular Toyota RAV4 but looks a lot sleeker. Inside, the infotainment system features a 12.3-inch touchscreen with CarPlay and Android Auto.
With the Limited bZ4X package, which starts at $46,700, buyers get upgraded seats and satin finishes.
The base model can go from 0-60 in 7.1 seconds, or 6.5 seconds for the AWD version. However, that AWD Toyota has a smaller range of 228 miles.

Using a Level 2 charger, the car can go from low to full charge in 9 hours and comes with an included 6.6kW adapter. As a bonus, the 2023 bZ4X comes with one year of free unlimited charging at all EVGo charging stations in the US.
Another bonus is a 3-year subscription to the Toyota Remote Connect app, which lets you control your temperature, set the windows to defrost or push the horn – all from your phone.
The 2023 Toyota bZ4X starts shipping early this Spring.
