While we’re waiting for the official launch of LG G5, the company is busy promoting the LG X series, which will be available worldwide starting this week. They’re mid-range phones, for budget-aware folks, but every handset comes with one premium feature.
The first ones you will be able to test yourself are the LG X cam and the LG X screen, first to be released in South Korea and then on other markets such as Europe, Latin America and Asia. As you can imagine, their secret features have to do with the camera module and display.
X cam is a decent phone, with a 5.2-inch screen, 1.14GHz octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 2,520mAh battery with LTE support. Its “piece de resistance” is the dual back camera – a 13MP one combined with a 5MP wide-angle shooter. The front camera is pretty good for selfies, with 8MP sensor.
X screen is not very different with one exception – instead of a dual camera it has a dual screen (like the one you’ve seen in LG V10) with 4.93-inch, 720p main display and an additional 1.76-inch, 520×80 pixel screen. One more thing: it has a smaller battery, 2,300mAh.
All in all, it’s not so bad and certainly affordable, although we will have to wait a bit more to see the final price
