Chinese manufacturer Vivo announced that its sub-brand, iQOO, will release its very first smartphone on March 1st in Shenzhen, China, according to a post on Weibo that stated we will see the “Monster inside”.
The company also confirmed that the smartphone will feature 44W fast charging and, recently, some snapshots posted on Twitter from user Bang Gogo have shown that the phone will completely charge in just under 50 minutes.
The photos show the phone going from 1% to 100% in 46 minutes. The phone charges to 50% in only 16 minutes and then slows down to double that time for the other 50% – a common occurrence in fast charging phones designed as a way to avoid battery damage.
In addition to that, Vivo’s iQOO smartphone made a TENAA appearance with model numbers V1824BA and V1824A. While the listing did not arrive with any photos, it did reveal most of the specs for the V1824BA model.
It will have a Snapdragon 855 chipset, Android Pie out of the box and will come in 6GB, 8GB and 12GB variants. As far as storage goes, the 6GB model will have 128GB of it while the 8GB and 12GB options will have 256GB.
The phone has a 6.41 inch AMOLED display and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
As far as optics go, the phone will have a triple camera setup on the back consisting of 13MP, 12MP+12MP sensors while the front will host just a single 12MP selfie camera. The entire package will be fueled up by a 4,000mAh battery.
