Wannaby, a startup providing ecommerce solutions , just launched the best (and possibly essential) AR app for sneakerheads hunting online for their next pair of kicks.

The iOS app called “Wanna Kicks” lets users try on sneakers while online shopping. Just choose your favorite design from the list of 3D models, point the phone’s camera at your feet and walk around to see if the sneakers are a match made in heaven.

“Lots of customers are eager to know more about new sneaker releases, and AR is a great new way for people to experience sneakers that are new to the market or are about to get to the market. Essentially, this is the main idea behind Wanna Kicks: allowing users to choose and decide whether they like a shoe or not without visiting a physical store,” said Wannaby’s founder in a Tech Crunch report.

Indeed, this could be a game changer for buying sneakers online and would minimize the number of returns. However, all those who hunted down a limited edition only to miss out will definitely appreciate Wanna Kicks as a way to at least virtually cop those sneakers.
