Xiaomi released the Mi Smart Speaker in India back in September, and the time has now come for the affordable device to make its way to Europe. The smart speaker is coming equipped with Google Assistant and it will be cheaper than its main rival – Google’s own Nest speaker.
German website Winfuture found Xiaomi’s new Mi smart speaker in some European retailer’s databases. It seems the new device will cost €53 (~$62) in Spain and €60 (~$70) in Portugal. That’s less than Google’s Nest Audio priced at €99 (~$116) or the Nest Mini which is priced at €59 (~$69) in the same regions.
Xiaomi’s Mi Smart Speaker comes with integrated Google Assistant and it uses two far-field microphones located on top of the device. The touch controls are also placed on the top panel of the speaker which is surrounded by an Amazon Echo-like LED ring.

Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed anything yet, but we can expect an official reaction soon.
