If you rely on Dropbox and Google Drive, you’ll be pleased to know that Google Drive and Dropbox have announced a new integration between their services which allows the Dropbox Business users to create Google Docs, Sheets and Slides documents directly within Dropbox.
A Dropbox full-text search feature is also available. This particular feature will go through all the documents and send over your way better and hopefully more accurate search results that are not based on just the name of the files
Of course, you will be able to share files and work on them, make comments or edit them and the sharing side is easily managed from Dropbox – this way you don’t have to stress about getting your permissions from one location or the other.
You can basically do everything you normally do on your documents with the only difference being that you will work directly from Dropbox. Needless to mention that, if you work on your phone, via the app, it truly makes a big difference.
As mentioned above, only Dropbox for Business users have access to this new integration and for the moment, it’s unclear if regular users will get it any time soon.
