YouTube Music Gets New Features For iOS and Android App

Youtube music was released in 2015 and has since become a fierce competitor to Spotify and Apple Music. The service mainly stands out with the enormous catalog of music that continues to grow every day.

The platform also has an edge over its competitors with an immense amount of niche, underground music from smaller independent artists, which often can’t be found elsewhere.

Today, YouTube Music announced on Twitter new features for the app.
A new Explore tab is now available, allowing music lovers to discover new songs and browse playlists by mood. Another new feature is Song Lyrics, so you can “sing along to your favorites.”

YouTube Music is free, and new subscribers get one month free of YouTube Music Premium. The Premium Subscription is $9.99, and you get no ads, you can play music in the background and listen to a higher audio quality (256 kbit/s as opposed to 128). Also, you can download music for offline listening.

The Youtube Music app has been downloaded more than 100 million times by Android users and is currently4th on Apple’s App Store most downloaded in the Music category.
