Still not convinced about upgrading to YouTube Premium? So far, Google’s YouTube Premium was just a way to avoid YouTube ads but now there are some new features that might convince you to get a subscription.

Google announced that YouTube Premium will now have higher quality video both on the web and for IOS users, as well as letting you co-watch videos on FaceTime through Apple’s SharePlay.

Even better, queueing is now available on mobile and tablets, letting you select the videos you want to play next just like on the web version of YouTube.

“Through Meet Live Sharing on Android devices, Premium members can host Google Meet sessions where all attendees, regardless of whether they are Premium or free users, can watch YouTube videos together. In the coming weeks, we’re also rolling out this experience for FaceTime users on iOS via SharePlay,” said Google in a blog post.

If you’re on iOS, Youtube Premium will have a new “enhanced” 1080p option, which has a higher bitrate and will make videos with lots of motion (think sports videos) a lot clearer.

You can see the full list of new YouTube premium features here. What do you think, is YouTube Premium now worth $11.99 per month?
