Xiaomi is back with a two-wheeled vehicle – the Mi Scooter. Fortunately, this time it won’t cost you $3000 like QiCycle, as the electric scooter recently unveiled comes at the affordable price of CNY 2,000 ($290) #objectmagic
The Mijia electric scooter can go up to 25km/h thanks to a 500W motor. It’s enabled with regenerative braking and a regular brake disc (with E-ABS) that ensures you can come to a halt securely within 4 meters. The Mi Scooter has a 30km range, possible seeing that the LG 1850 EV-lithium ion battery has a capacity of 280Wh.
You might be relieved to hear that the scooter is foldable – it shouldn’t take you more than a couple of seconds to make it smaller. Although advertised as “portable”, I can’t say it’s easy to carry around at the weight of 12.5kg... If that doesn’t trouble you in the slightest, then you’ll appreciate the fact that you can know your bike’s status anytime thanks to the companion app. Here, you’ll find information concerning speed, battery life and health and so on.
Xiaomi’s electric scooter will be launched on December 15th, in two colors: white and black.
