Samsung Issues Full-Page Apology Ads For Galaxy Note 7

Samsung Apology

Samsung’s faulty Galaxy Note 7 forced them to recall the devices and then suspend the production altogether. Now, the company is continuing its PR efforts to be forgiven and the incident forgotten with apology ads in major US newspapers #todaymagic

Three important daily papers ran Samsung’s full-page ads on Monday – The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and The Washington Post. Customers got a chance to hear from Gregory Lee, the president and CEO of Samsung Electronics North America, in a one page letter written in English.

The apology reinstates Samsung’s regret over the problematic devices and its concern regarding consumer safety and qualitative manufacturing processes. “An important tenet of our mission is to offer best-in-class safety and quality. Recently, we fell short on this promise. For this we are truly sorry,” reads the first paragraph. The following paragraphs are meant to reassure customers that the investigation hasn’t been finished and Samsung is still trying to see how to prevent such accidents in the future.

Meanwhile, their top-load washing machines are acting up; tops are coming off like crazy! Buyers’ complaints targeted 34 different models of washing machines, which have been subsequently recalled. In total, 2.8 million units made their way back from home to factory.
