Perhaps the final one of the year, the Nintendo Indie Showcase today showed off several upcoming indie games to be released on the Nintendo Switch. Without further ado, here are all the games announced:
Spelunky/Spelunky 2
The roguelike dungeon-crawling will be making its way onto the Nintendo Switch for the first time. Both the original and the sequel will appear for the first time on the Switch, available on PC and PlayStation before. These games are known for their extreme difficulty, chaotic exploration, and deep and hidden gameplay mechanics. The fun doesn’t stop with one person, as both Spelunky and Spelunky 2 come with local multiplayer and the latter with online multiplayer.
Super Meat Boy Forever
The long awaited sequel to the indie-classic Super Meat Boy will be making its way to the Switch December 23rd. It seems as if many of the same, tight, and challenging platforming elements make its way back to the game. But not all is the same, as even the short trailer showcased some of the more grueling and intense levels the game has in store. Super Meat Boy Forever will be a console launch exclusive to the Nintendo Switch, only later going to Xbox and PlayStation.
Among Us
Among Us has made waves as an easy-to-play mafia-like game which has brought communities together as we are socially distant. Well, the widely popular game is making its way to the Nintendo Switch. Although it is unclear how voice chat or text-chatting will work, the gameplay is easy enough to grasp that any level of Switch player will be able to pick it almost instantly.
