WhatsApp is about to make some users’ lives harder. The company announced they would stop support for some older phone models this January.
That means the app could stop working altogether on those devices.
Want to know if you risk being one of the affected parties?
Well, this will affect only the users who are chatting from a device with iOS 8 or older or those operating from an Android device with an OS version older than Android 4.0.3.
Thankfully, even if you fall into one of those categories, you might get the opportunity to upgrade your software easily, so definitely go to Settings and check the status of your operating system.
The WhatsApp update will go live on January 1st. This means you need to look into your phone or tablet this week, before New Year’s Eve.
Honestly, that should be the least of your concerns that night!
