If you’re recording in 4K for your job or as a hobby, then you know how hard it is to keep everything store in one place after a while. The truth is the files take up a lot of space and it’s hard to find a hard disk suitable for your needs. But Seagate is here to help. The company has just announced a 12TB hard disk that can do the trick #hardwaremagic
BarraCuda Pro is the new, massive 12TB hard disk from Seagate. It’s suitable for keeping 4K videos and RAW photos. It also comes at a time where AR and VR have really taken off and content creators need to store such files safely away. The BarraCuda disk has a spin speed of 7,200 rpm and a 256MB cache size.
As crucial as it is for creatives out there, it’s not the only thing Seagate announced this month. There’s a new IronWolf hard drive too, part of the Guardian Series, much like the BarraCuda. This one has several perks you shouldn’t dismiss easily: file sharing, remote access and multiple user access.
If you want a BarraCuda Pro, you’ll have to spend around $530. It’s not cheap, granted, but think of it as an investment, especially since it comes with a 5-year limited warranty.
