If there’s one time of the year you get to be self-indulgent or very generous with others, it’s around Christmas. In December, you have the perfect excuse to splurge for yourself or for friends and family and what better way to do it than acquire a brand new gadget. Microsoft is already here with an idea – a Surface Pro with LTE. The company’s new laptop model will arrive on December 1st #hardwaremagic
At the Future Decoded event in London, Microsoft stated that a new Surface Pro will hit the market in a month, one that would come with built-in LTE. The laptop is said to feature an Intel Core i5 processor and a Qualcomm Snapdragon X16 modem. More importantly, it’s going to support 20 LTE bands, so no matter where you are, you can benefit from the new perk.
How much will it change your work routine? Well, Microsoft says you can expect download speeds of up to 450 Mbps, compared to the 300 Mbps you’re bound to get from standard modem on LTE-enabled devices.
When your to-do list clears up, the new laptop will support your binge-watching with 17 hours of video playback time.
Such a Christmas gift will set you back $1,149 (for the 4GB of RAM, 128 GB SSD configuration) or $1,449 (8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD).
