Apple has always sought to deliver smartphones for every customer’s needs – the basic, the large (Plus) or the budget-friendly (remember iPhone 5 C?). This year, though, the company is going to take variety more seriously than ever and release not two, not three, but four brand new iPhone handsets!
According to KGI Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo, the man who has previously nailed every Apple smartphone rumor, there will be three models of iPhone 7 this year, besides the 4-inch ‘iPhone SE’. The primary difference between them will be display size, with an iPhone 7 of 4.7-inch, an iPhone 7 Plus of 5.5-inch and an even bigger iPhone 7 Pro (rumored name).
The second difference, according to Kuo, will concern the camera. The Pro should come with a dual-lens camera system created by LinX. The advancements made in speed and low light processing, as well as the 2-3x optical zoom, are said to be huge enough for Apple to create a third iPhone 7 especially for this feature. Another reason Apple chooses to incorporate this camera technology on just one type of phone, and not all, are supply constraints, says Kuo.
Upcoming visual leaks will certainly clarify matters.
