The Realme 2 was launched in India back in August 2017 and now, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has told The Indian Express that its successor, the Realme 3, will see the light of day sometime this year at last.
We can expect the dual camera setup and the notch to still be a staple of the upcoming device as Sheth has stated that he does not “see any value” in either punch-hole cameras or triple-camera setups.
However, Sheth did confirm that the upcoming device will feature a 48MP camera.
The 48MP cameras have been quite popular in the past few months, as they deliver high resolutions of day time photographs while, on the other hand, employ the use of pixel-binning so they can deliver quality low-light shots.
What’s unclear at the moment is if the phone will be a Pro model or if it will turn out to be a completely new one. The device will, according to all sources, launch in the first quarter of the year.
