It looks like Nintendo Switch Online members might have something more to look forward to quite soon, according to Twitter user KapuccinoHeck, who has been looking through the NES app code.
According to them, after doing some digging, they discovered around 22 SNES games that would, allegedly, accompany the NES titles that are already available to the subscribers.
Among them we can count Super Mario Kart, Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past, Super Mario World and Breath of Fire 2, just to name a few.
You’ll also notice the presence on that list of a name that doesn’t really sound a bell: Star Fox 2. The game was not actually released, because of the N64, but it did become available to the users in the form of a buyer bonus alongside the SNES Classic release.
While Nintendo has not mentioned anything about bringing the Super NES games to the Nintendo Switch Online, there’s nothing wrong with keeping the hope alive, at least until Nintendo tells us otherwise.
