After the Xiaomi Mi 9 was confirmed with not only a Snapdragon 855, a 48MP camera and what the company called a ‘nano-laser engraving holographic technology’ that allows the phone to change gradients under different lighting, we now have some more news for you on the design front.
A new Xiaomi teaser surfaced online today, showcasing a Transparent back version of the device, which has been dubbed ‘Battle Angel’, as the phone is the result of a partnership between the company and the producers of the movie Alita: Battle Angel.
The teaser brings back attention towards the Snapdragon 855 chipset and also mentions that the lower side of the phone features a power charging coil.
This edition features a gradient glass on the back that is only 0.4mm thick but as far as specs go, they will be similar to the regular Mi 9.
The Xiaomi Mi 9: Battle Angel will be making an appearance alongside the other Mi 9 variants on February 20th and is rumored to cost around CNY 5,999, which translates into roughly $885, after conversion.
