The first thing you’ll notice about the newly announced Samsung Galaxy A80 is definitely its size but that’s not what makes it special.
While this big boy has a 6.7-inch 1080 x 2400 AMOLED screen that catches the eye, it actually hides a …drumroll, please… It has a pop-up, rotating camera for both regular photos and selfies!
We hope you missed slider phones, because this is the next best thing.
Because the rotating camera does double duty, the Galaxy A80 has no notch but does offer an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The camera itself will be able to handle a lot, as it combines a 48 MP f/2.0 sensor with an ultrawide, 123-degree 8MP sensor and a 3D depth sensor that can do Live Focus videos.
Also on the video front, Samsung mentioned a “super steady” mode for stabilization and a Scene Optimizer powered by AI to enhance up to 30 scenes.
The rest of the Galaxy A80 specs are completed by 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of onboard storage, and a 3,700 mAh battery with 25W Super Fast Charge.
The device will launch on May 29th and Samsung also mentioned the release date for the recently-revealed Galaxy A70.
That one, which sports a teardrop notch on its huge 6.7-inch screen, will hit the shelves on April 26.
