Fall Essential: Canon 5D Mark IV Comes With Touchscreen and Shoots 4K

After much resistance, Canon gave in and updated its most popular DSLR with features photographers have started to expect from these years’ cameras. The 5D Mark IV has been upgraded with the adding of a touchscreen panel, Wi-Fi connectivity and 4k shooting capabilities #fotomagic

The camera is keeping the legend alive with seriously good upgrades. First, we have a new 30.4-megapixel sensor, the Digic 6+ image processor and ISO range of 100-32,000, expandable up to 50-102,400. Then, we benefit from a Dual Pixel autofocus system, meaning that each pixel can focus and capture light all at once, increasing the auto focus speed. If you’re using it frequently for videos, instead of photos, then you’ll be psyched about Canon’s addition of 4K recording at 30 or 24fps, all while keeping the old settings functional: 1080p at up to 60fps and even 720p video at 120fps!

All these numbers mean that the 5D Mark IV can shoot slow-mo full-HD and HDR – pretty sweet, huh? Other things that have sparked our interest is getting finally the chance to select the focus point and pinch to zoom on the touchscreen panel and the Wi-Fi connectivity. Oh, you also get a built-in GPS, a first in this series.

Watch out for one since it should hit stores in early September, at $3,499.
