Polaroid knows the word of this on-the-run century is “instant” so the company placed their bets this year on upgrading their Snap camera. At Photokina, Snap Touch was unveiled, a 13MP instant shooter with touchscreen display #fotomagic
The successor of the Snap cam has a 3.5″ LCD touchscreen that is vital for framing shots and makes navigating easier, too. You can now rely on a better 13 megapixel CMOS sensor and a 1080p full HD video recording capability. In the same time, a selfie lover will appreciate the new self-timer feature and a tiny mirror to make sure the pic will be Social Media-approved.
Plus, you can be really creative with your shots; take a couple B&W in a moody photo session, opt for sepia with your folks and grandparents in the frame and do some color ones with your buddies. You can also use the Snap Touch as a photo printer; pair it with other devices through Bluetooth and scoop images from there. Speaking about printing, Polaroid is using the ZINK® Zero Ink Printing Technology this time. That means the printer uses heat to activate and colorize cyan, yellow and magenta dye crystals embedded in the paper. That way, you get rich, vibrant 2×3″ pictures without bothering with ink cartridges and toner.
All your Polaroid snapped media can be saved on a micro SD card (up to 128GB) and edited later with the companion app, which is free for iOS and Android. There, Polaroid says you can add a number of filters and stickers before printing.
