Acer’s New 3D Portable Monitors Don’t Need Special Glasses

The issue with 3D screens is that, more often than not, you need to have your glasses around to see 3D content. If you don’t, then you’re guaranteed a bad experience. Acer knows that very well and decided to take out the middleman – ahem, the 3D glasses out of the equation launching glasses-free 3D portable monitors.

The Acer SpatialLabs View and SpatialLabs View Pro are two 15.6-inch portable monitors that you can use to view various stereoscopic 3D content, like games. Those can have already this profile or the right plugin to connect them to the monitors.

Don’t worry – both devices are capable of converting 2D content to 3D and work as 4K monitors in the same time.

The SpatialLabs View and SpatialLabs View Pro boast Adobe RGB color coverage and 400-nit brightness and built-in kickstands. The Pro can also be wall mounted with a VESA support.

Acer plans to launch these products in time for some long summer gaming sessions at an undisclosed price. If you ask us, it has to be lower than the $1,700 one the company asked for its 3D laptop.
